10 years ago, I started working on the first version of my current webcomic Carciphona, titled “Blackbird” back then. I did it all for myself and for fun, knowing there is no way the quality of my work could amount to anything important. Little would I know that 10 years later the story would take such a drastic turn, and that I would receive the support I have now in order to continue drawing, and even printing, this story.
Thank you all so much for helping me get to where I am right now! Carciphona is one of the dearest things to my heart, regardless of its success, and I am lucky to have your support to be able to continue to work on it. We’ve come so far together, and I can’t wait to show you all the things that are to come!
You can read carciphona for free at: carciphona.com
Full process video, layered psd files will be available for my May 18-31 patrons at patreon.com/shilin!
I'm hopping to have a similar thing happen to me and my story, Crossfire Bloodlines. It’s been in my head for as long as yours XD
I hope that you have a great and blessed day!
she's pure magic.
Congrats for the 10 years of heart work <3
And thank you for Carciphona!
It sounds easy, but it sure has always brought a lot of challenges and important lessons
Right now I am so happy I bought it! Lately I haven't been buying Mangas anymore because I don't like most of the drawing styles of Manga I can buy in German bookshops. Most of them are not detailed, some even seem kind of sloppy. But Carciphona is simply stunning, can't believe there is a whole manga series full of those awesome pictures! After the first volume I can't say much about the story, yet, but so far I like the fantasy plot. If I understood right it will also be a girls love story between blackbird and veloce, and for me it's the first time reading something like that. Can't say that I am into girls love (yet), but I see the possibility of carciphona being able to change that
Carciphona is definitely one of my favourite manga now, and that is amazing because I am quite picky
They told me the drawing style is even getting better (which is almost unbelievable), so I really look forward to the next volume! (it's really hard to resist the temptation of reading the english version >.<)
So, congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your amazing art! I hope you can carry on drawing to your heart's content
