I've got one now, finally and I guess I won't buy a new won until this one is broken or until I win in the lottery and be able to buy a Wacom. xD I don't have a Wacom now, but I'd buy one if I had the money! ^^
Both my tablets were presents. The first was the one I got when I was like 10 and my mon picked it up from the clearance bin at Toys 'R' Us. I look at it now, and it's hard to use, but back then it was my first and I was 10 and I had already asked for other random junk so it was like a bonus. Now I have Wacom.
The tablet before the one I'm currently using was my first ever tablet and the only one i could find in electronic stores. It worked well until my brother broke the pen and searched online to get another one but couldn't find any unless i buy the whole thing again. Now, I own a Wacom and it's really good. So far so good. It's been with me for around 8 months.
I had a small one and asked for a bigger one. Seeing it was the only big thing I asked for Christmas I got it. (I also asked for candy and socks. >__>;; ) So there was no real reason I got it. I don't think the big one is all that much better though. So I guess I just have too much money? Well kinda?
I have a wacom graphire 2, it's still in good working order since I got it 7 years ago, but after using an intuos at work, I noticed that G2 is less sensitive when drawing zoomed out (shaky lines) and has lower screen dpi... TwT; so I reaaaally wish to get an intuos someday. OTL
My first pad was an ArtPad II that I got way back in the early-to-mid 90's. It lasted a good long time until I replaced it with a Graphire 4 about a year-and-a-half ago. I don't miss having to use a serial-to-USB adapter for the old ArtPad, nor do I miss having to plug in an AC adapter for it.
